Leadership Consulting Firm’s Record Growth Leads to New Location
MDA Leadership Consulting relocated its downtown Minneapolis headquarters to the 50th floor of the Capella Tower (225 South Sixth Street) on February 17, 2017. The new office will allow MDA Leadership employees to more effectively deliver integrated talent solutions to the firm’s clients.
“For 35 years, MDA has earned a reputation as a premier provider of leadership development, talent insight, and CEO & board services to Fortune 500 firms and other organizations who understand the importance of talent as a key competitive advantage,” said Scott E. Nelson, CEO, MDA Leadership. “Our clients and consultants require a contemporary, flexible and energizing workspace to drive collaboration and innovation in today’s fast-paced environment. Our new headquarters will not only provide this, but all of the amenities our clients and consultants expect within one of downtown’s most recognizable and prestigious properties.”
In addition to greater efficiency and an enhanced client experience, MDA Leadership’s new 15,000-square-foot office will provide more functional space than the company’s current space in the Fifth Street Towers (150 South Fifth Street). “This office has served us well for 17 years,” Nelson said. “Yet as our workforce grows nationally and we leverage more strategic alliances, our new headquarters will give us all the space we need on a single, well-planned floor.”
Over the past three years, MDA Leadership has experienced record revenue growth as companies understand the urgency of attracting, developing and retaining high-quality talent. According to the Pew Research Center, fewer than 45 million Baby Boomers remain in the U.S. workforce with 4 million leaving annually, resulting in a massive institutional brain drain.
“We’re seeing these workplace demographic and business growth trends in all areas of MDA Leadership’s consulting,” Nelson said. “We’ve had tremendous client demand for talent strategy, assessment, development, integration and succession services. This move will help us bring greater collaboration and innovation to our clients’ most critical talent opportunities.”
Located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis, the 58-story Capella Tower offers MDA Leadership and other tenants a staffed and fully equipped conference center, fitness center, art gallery, and multiple food and coffee vendors. The building also features climate-controlled underground parking and convenient skyway access to neighboring buildings.
